Subsidy Support

HCSS offers subsidies and financial assistance to those who qualify.

HCSS Clients can apply for subsidy by submitting their Notice of Assessment (NOA) for the current year for a fee reduction. If you live with a spouse, their notice of assessment must be included.

NOAs can be submitted the following ways:

  • Drop your copy off at our main office.
  • Send to mailbox@hcssgreybruce.com
  • fax to our main office at 519-372-2748
  • or send a copy by mail to:

Compassionate Subsidy Support

We understand that life doesn’t always fit neatly into forms or standard processes. The Compassionate Subsidy is here to help in unique or exceptional circumstances when our regular subsidy does not provide enough support.

How the Process Works

Step 1: Apply for our regular subsidy
Start by applying for our regular subsidy and submitting your Notice of Assessment (NOA). This helps us understand your situation and determine what support is available.

Step 2: If you still need additional support
If the regular subsidy does not meet your needs, you may apply for a Compassionate Subsidy with the application linked below. This is intended for temporary situations that are complex, urgent, or outside of typical circumstances.

Step 3: Share your situation with us
Email your application and required documents to csreview@hcssgreybruce.com to explain your circumstances and why additional support is being requested.
You may apply yourself, a caregiver, or family member.

Step 4: Review and decision
Your request will be carefully reviewed, and a decision will be made as quickly as possible. We understand that these situations are often time-sensitive.

Step 5: Follow-up
You will be contacted with the outcome and next steps, and any approved support will be put in place promptly.
