Are you looking for a new, flexible, and fulfilling opportunity to support your community?
Our Neighbour-Network volunteer program could be right for you!
The Home & Community Support Services Neighbour-Network volunteer program unites community-minded Grey & Bruce residents with their neighbours to help them live with dignity, security, health, and well-being.
We believe that people working in partnership is the best method for providing a social support system that assists individuals to maintain their personal well-being.
There’s no better gift than volunteering to help others in a meaningful way.
You’re invited to a virtual information session about Home & Community Support Services Grey-Bruce and our Neighbour Network Volunteer Program.
Tuesday, March 8th at 1:00 pm
Wednesday, March 16th at 1:00 pm
Thursday, March 24th at 1:00 pm
Neighbour-Network volunteers are currently supporting their community by:
- delivering hot and/or frozen meals on wheels
- making friendly visiting phone calls to socially isolated individuals
- aiding vulnerable seniors with transportation to non-emergent medical appointments, shopping, and social programs like our Adult Day Away program
Our list of active volunteers has been hit hard over the last two years as a result of the pandemic. Our community organization is in need of enthusiastic volunteers from all areas of Grey & Bruce counties who can help us support their neighbours independence, dignity, and overall well-being.
If you would like to learn more about all of the programs and services offered by Home & Community Support Services Grey-Bruce and the Neighbour-Network we invite you to register to join us for an upcoming presentation.
